Kaalita re-creates classic Asian bronze statues and pieces from Europe's Art Nouveau period in cold cast bronze.

Original sculptures from Asia's classical past were individually cast in bronze but today the costly process of molding, casting and finishing pure bronze has put these pieces out of reach of all but the most dedicated lovers of fine art. Technology however has provided us with a casting process, cold cast bronze, which coats the unfinished piece in actual bronze. The piece is then tinted or painted by hand, blending the natural beauty of bronze with accents of colour and tint.

Our Asian collection is represented by status of Shakyamuni Buddha and Ganesha in the Indian style. Buddha's in Tibetan style are represented by Avlokiteshvara, Amitabha and Tara.

Art Nouveau was born in the 19th century out of a new found appreciation for the aesthetic of simplicity and form, from the natural world. Art Nouveau's enduring appeal lies in its romantic themes of nature's grace, beauty and the purity of the female form.
